"Fairy Kei Nights"

Yeeah-yeeah! And I used that clarite for it. I'm getting a litle more comfortable with it. But mainly I haven't checked out another system. We'll see! :)

Super kawaii April- Cotton Candy/ Lemonade

Hey, kids! I'm still alive, wish I had a better camera, but whatever- IDGAF! Here's some things I've done recently (always practicing nails like a BOSS)

There are all hand-painted, done on full-cover glue-on nails...and it's damn near summer so you know I gotta get my pedicure on! Fairy kei fa' liffffe!

"South Mpls shopping"

Hey- so I went to some little family owned beauty supply and fashion stores in south Mpls. I went to one store that had SOOOOO much stuff! Tons of cute barrettes, hair beads, nail polishes, cute jewelery, nail art supplies, weave, wig, everythang! (I like to stay natural though ^_^)

After that I went to a thrift store. Anyways- here's everything:

All this is so cheap but functional, and works well as decora, fairy kei, or just a bunch of cute s**t! And I've been crafting a ton lately, and one of my favorite past times is decorating toys.

F**k yeah my care bear is decora. Why wouldn't she be?!

And there's nothing better than adding barrettes and rhinestones to my little ponies.
Things are getting cuter all the time around here. I'm hoping to get on that tumblr tonight. Peace out <3

"Sakura"

Hot damn! I finally did some 3d Japanese-style artwork. Check it:

As for a tutorial, I watched dozens on youtube and practiced on quite a few nails before attempting to sculpt the acrylic on my own nails. I did this all in clear acrylic and painted over it, which is tedious and takes longer, but I also feel like since it was my first time sculpting, clear is a good choice to hide mistakes, you can just paint what it SHOULD look like on top. Anyways I f***ing LOVE these nails, and I'm thrilled with how they came out on BOTH hands.

Katy Perry, I'm ready whenever you are! Bring Lady Gaga ;)

"Iced Out Pink"

Hey everybody! Back to clear acrylics, and I love these!

 Products Used:
Clear Acrylic Nail Tips
Clear Acrylic powder
Iridescent glitter
Pink and White Nail confetti
Small (1mm) rhinestones (pink and clear)

Method Used:
Prep and attach nail tips
Lay down a thin coat of acrylic
While it's still wet, set in confetti
Use monomer to keep surface wet, and use a dry brush to sprinkle glitter on tips
Encapsulate glitter and confetti in a thick layer of clear acrylic. Use extra on the confetti, but not too much
Cure, and sand. DO NOT over sand the confetti area! They will lose their luster
Add clear top coat after buffing. I use Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Top Coat
While it's still wet, add rhinestones to smile line
Add Seche Vite and you're done!

I LOVE THESE!
Also, I found an awesome website with Japanese fashion magazine scans, free to download!
http://jmagazinescans.livejournal.com
And click nails on the tags. Japanese nail art can be really daunting, especially as I make my way to the 3d super kawaii fairy kei style of doing things, but I'm still going to try someday!

"Hello Kitty Blue and Purple"

Took off the acrylics I had for Mom's visit. You should've seen em I didn't get a chance to take a photo, so they're like my nail secret. Anyways, Here's some short cuteness. I got another package of nail junk from eBay so I wanted to make sure it worked, lol! No tutorial, anything goes with nail bling ^_^

So yeah, check out ebay for nail art, you can get really cheap stuff with free shipping to the US, just as long as you're patient!

"Mattel"

Hey so I got caught up watching nail art videos and I had to do some more. I wanted to do some water marbling again and I realized the KEY to marbling is literally trying out tons of fricken combinations until you get something awesome. I had to thin out some of my polishes but it worked out in the end. Also painting your nails white or SOMETHING beforehand works well, and incorporating that color (white) in the marble to make it *pop*. This reminded me of some of my toys growing up.

Products Used:
Sally Hansen Xtreme 270 Lacey Lilac
Sally Hansen Xtreme 300 White On
Sally Hansen Xtreme 470 Bubblegum Pink
Milani 3D holographic 512 Cyberspace
Wet N' Wild WildShine 460D Kaleidoscope (iridescent glitter)
Purple and Blue Nail confetti (2-3mm)

Method Used:
Coat 1: Use white nail polish as a base, and tape off your nails for marbling
Coat 2: Drop your colors, I went with pink, then blue, then white, then purple, continue to make rings
Coat 3: After swirling a pattern (mind were random) pick a spot and dip it in!
Coat 4: After your nails are at the desired marble, coat them with glitter
Coat 5: Add 2-3 pieces of confetti, I put mine over any mistakes.

Have a good time with this, if you don't know how to water marble do a youtube search there are tons of tutorial vids. Toodles! ^_^
