"School of Kawaii"

So I wanted to do something cute with a gingham print. I'm not in love with the yellow/ orange color I picked, actually I do love it, but I should've done a more consistent color scheme. Oh well- still super kawaii ^_^

They are just hand-painted on full cover glue-ons. I realized the trick to make a good gingham pattern is to use more sheer polishes, and pick a polish only slightly darker for the intersections. I learned something, and that's what's up ^_^

"Hime Valentine 2"

Hey guys. So a couple days ago I was all flustered running around getting errands done before work and broke 2 corners off my nails in a cab door! :(
Not to worry, it just meant I got another excuse to re-do my nails, plus I needed a fill anyways.
Voila!

I wish my camera could show more of the blingy-bling but this is as good as it gets. I <3333 doing nails like this! Super cute, super kawaii, super gyaru, even. After filling my clear tips, I used Sally Hansen Diamond Shine 320 Must Have Iris and L.A. Colors BCC 555 Silver glitter towards the tips, then lots of sparkly blingy junk! The 3-d heart in the middle came out way clearer than I wanted (supposed to be pink acrylic) but it's all good. ^_^

AND- I made this necklace:

Because I <333 Ariel. I'm going back to sleep. See ya!

"Valentine's Bling"

Check it:

I LOVE IT! I have so many different pinks and glitters and bling pieces, I just swatched all the colors together with various glitters, picked my favorites, and blinged it up. Hope you like! They're on my natural nails so I can change em before V-Day. Bye byeeeee

"Hello Kitty Goodies"

Well, last night I was super determined to do a full acrylic set, with some encased goodies like stickers and fimo canes. I got through four nails before running out of monomer! :(

Acrylics are much harder than they look I was getting a little frustrated from not having consistent acrylic bead sizes and wetness, but when it all gets filed down, everything did stay intact and I buffed them smooth like a BOSS.

I really think I beasted it, considering this was my like 3rd ever set. I'm gonna be a freakin boss once I go through school. ^_^

Products Used:
Clear Acrylic
Acrylic mixed with fine iridescent glitter (I actually have a dark glitter and a light one)
Hello Kitty stickers (These are cell phone stickers so they are clear ;) )
Stick On earrings (I love using these!)
Fimo flowers

Method Used:
Put down a fine layer of glitter acrylic
Add stickers, canes, etc. Some you have to bend/ fold slightly to get them to fit the curve of your nail
Add clear acrylic on top. I went thick with it to really make sure the art is trapped inside and I'll live with the extra filing. Filing did take forever though ;) I'll get better
File, and buff to an awesome shine, add top coat and love to death!

"Nicki Minaj"

So I did this nail art after I saw these trends. I replaed black with silver glitter and used "mermaid colors"

My version (acrylic) (sorry about the bad camera!)

Products Used:
LA Colors (Color Craze) Metallic Pink
LA Colors (Color Craze) Metallic Purple
Wet N' Wild (Wild Shine) 446C Carribean Frost
Sally Hansen Xtreme 23 Marine Scene
Wet N' Wild (Wild Shine) 460D Kaleidescope (glitter)
NYC 105A Starry Silver glitter
Milani Nail Art 702 Art of Silver or anything with 1/2mm (large) glitter pieces
Fimo flowers
(optional) Clear Acrylic powder with irridescent glitter will work as a substitute for Kaleidescope enamel)

Method Used:
Coat 1: Use clear/ glitter acrylic and let set and buff -or- paint nail bed with kaleidescope glitter. Leave the tips bare to paint them.
Coat 2: Paint polygons of color chunks along tips of the nail. It doesn't need to be perfect. Triangles work well.
Coat 3: Use silver glitter striper to outline your shapes.
Coat 4: Glue a fimo flower to each thumb
Coat 5: Use large glitter nail polish to set "rhinestones" around the border of the fimo cane, and 3 on each nail in the corner.

Thanks! ^_^
