"My gift to you"

Hey guys. These are nails I did 2 weeks ago and haven't had time to upload. I did them again on full cover glue-on nails

I don't have a tutorial on this but wanted to draw attention to a key glitter used for these which is a new one from Wet n Wild Fastdry 238C Party of Five Glitters. It has big glitter and red and green stand out in it and make it an awesome holiday color. All the new Wet N Wild Fastdry line is pretty awesome so check em out!

"Candy Canes"

Happy Holidays. Well they're coming quicker than ever. I'm not a huge fan of Christmas but I think Occupy Wall St has me in better spirits. And the NBA lockout is over! Not a bad season at all.
Anyways, I don't have much for a tutorial on this, but here's the gist of it:

Start by painting nails red or hot pink works, too. I painted on top of full cover fake nails from the drugstore. Just tape them to toothpicks or something to keep from touching them. Paint a very fine glitter on top, or something foil-y. You don't want it too glittery yet. Use a white nail art striper and go to town. Check a photo for the pattern. Then I added a fine silver glitter
striper on top of the white. Voila!
More holiday nails are coming, keep checking back!

Hey guys, sorry I've been on a brief hiatus. I've been really involved in Occupy Minnesota in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street. It's definitely a hell of an adventure, and if you're against corporate greed and government corruption, join an occupation near you!

That said, here's some nails I did a few weeks but didn't have time to upload.

Anyways, I have to go to bed so no tutorial on this. Just sponge if it's semi-sheer, paint the yellow to pink gradient on your nails. Use a silver nail art brush for accents. Top off the details with a black nail art pen. Rawr!

"Daaaaayyyuuummmmm!!"

OK gals from the U.S. LISTEN UP!! I just stumbled on a nail polish gold mine! Get to your local Dollar Tree asap, they have great nail polish for sale- L.A. Colors! I first found L.A. Colors at Walgreens and CVS and bought a pack of metallic nail polish, and the quality is fantastic, the pigments are really vivid! So at the dollar store they have all kinds of L.A. Colors nail polish in assorted colors, some are matte but most are metallic or glitter! I took home 10 bottles.

BONUS!! Again, at Dollar Tree they also have L.A. Colors Nail Art Deco pens! Another fantastic find, great quality, I took home 4 of these, (and now that I've tried them I'm going back for the rest!)

The nice thing here is you can order these online, everything is $1 a piece. So for once, my ghetto fabulous way of living pays off well. $14 for 14 bottles of nail polish. What an awesome day!

"Mattel"

Hey so I got caught up watching nail art videos and I had to do some more. I wanted to do some water marbling again and I realized the KEY to marbling is literally trying out tons of fricken combinations until you get something awesome. I had to thin out some of my polishes but it worked out in the end. Also painting your nails white or SOMETHING beforehand works well, and incorporating that color (white) in the marble to make it *pop*. This reminded me of some of my toys growing up.

Products Used:
Sally Hansen Xtreme 270 Lacey Lilac
Sally Hansen Xtreme 300 White On
Sally Hansen Xtreme 470 Bubblegum Pink
Milani 3D holographic 512 Cyberspace
Wet N' Wild WildShine 460D Kaleidoscope (iridescent glitter)
Purple and Blue Nail confetti (2-3mm)

Method Used:
Coat 1: Use white nail polish as a base, and tape off your nails for marbling
Coat 2: Drop your colors, I went with pink, then blue, then white, then purple, continue to make rings
Coat 3: After swirling a pattern (mind were random) pick a spot and dip it in!
Coat 4: After your nails are at the desired marble, coat them with glitter
Coat 5: Add 2-3 pieces of confetti, I put mine over any mistakes.

Have a good time with this, if you don't know how to water marble do a youtube search there are tons of tutorial vids. Toodles! ^_^

"Fruit Salad...Yummy Yummy"

Hey guys I had to change it up again. I've changed my nails 3 times this week...That's why I like 'em short for a while because I can change them a lot more often. Yeeha, don't hate on this one too bad I had to experiment and I know it looks amateur but I was rushing and had to get to work. I bumped my thumb and index as well so they didn't finish well, but whatever I was just screwing around having fun. I got no tutorial on this. Just throw some fruits on your nails! I mainly used a thin nail art brush (similar to a striper with shorter bristles) and a toothpick....Anyways, I'm trying to think of an AWESOME acrylic set to start. Wish me luck ^_^

My Day Off

My days off are usually giant spa days, spent doing hair, makeup, and / or nails. I didn't have to work today, so I washed my hair and latch hooked the dreads, kinda tight to make the roots more defined. I also made a hair bow. I also found some nice new lashes I tried out and LOVED, and took some photos. It's 5pm, I got some dishes to do...what else?? ;)
