More of lately. Those heavy metal ones I did for an Alice in Chains concert and it was an incredible night! \m/

OH LIFE...!
hey I been gone forever just dealing with a ton of b.s. I have to move soon so no new nail job until November, but I am taking today to get my social media in order. So here's what I been up to!

Done with school!
All that's left is taking the state test soon. Otherwise it turns out I didn't get the best education but the best part of this industry is how easy it is to breakout on your own and self educate. I can't wait to get involved with mpls' cosmetology community. And I'm back on my smelly acrylic, sorry Clarite, its been real, but no thanks ;)

"Winter Metal"
So....I'm almost done with school! Apparently next week, so I've been obnoxiously stressed about the whole thing. But, also obnoxiously excited, too. Here was a stress reliever, and in my book, something simple ;) (I love metallic wraps!)

Leopard print sculpted slims
These are Rihanna-inspired on a girl on school, I was wayyyy happy with it but our acrylic at school is O.P.I. clarite odorless....not a big fan. It takes forever to set and it needs a much dryer mix ratio too otherwise its way sticky and clings to your brush. Then it has a tacky layer to file off but it accounts for almost 1/2 your thickness....anyways we were pretty geeked about the final results w00t w00t!

"Hime Valentine 2"
Hey guys. So a couple days ago I was all flustered running around getting errands done before work and broke 2 corners off my nails in a cab door! :(
Not to worry, it just meant I got another excuse to re-do my nails, plus I needed a fill anyways.
Voila!
AND- I made this necklace:

I wish my camera could show more of the blingy-bling but this is as good as it gets. I <3333 doing nails like this! Super cute, super kawaii, super gyaru, even. After filling my clear tips, I used Sally Hansen Diamond Shine 320 Must Have Iris and L.A. Colors BCC 555 Silver glitter towards the tips, then lots of sparkly blingy junk! The 3-d heart in the middle came out way clearer than I wanted (supposed to be pink acrylic) but it's all good. ^_^
AND- I made this necklace:
Because I <333 Ariel. I'm going back to sleep. See ya!

"Flower Girl"
Hey guys. Just switched up the polish. Too tired for a tutorial, sorry. But google nail polish flower painting and you'll be on your way. I usually stray from intricate hand-painting but I felt the urge to get my game up. ^_^
Mostly I'm geeked that my right hand is looking just as good if not better than left! On my way to becoming ambidextrous!
--R Rated Comment--
A friend and I were recently discussing femme lesbians, drag queens, french tips, and long fake "stripper" nails. I started talking about nail techs in the hood and in the clubs and how it's a staple in urban queer communities, as well as the porn industry. She was like why? I said "who else besides queer divas and drag queens would be obsessed with women's fingers? Think about it!" wink wink. Seriously though hot queer chicks love my nails. It's pretty awesome.

"New Year for New Nails!"
Hey everyone! Welcome to 2012. It should be a damn good year. Anyways I got my internet back up and running so I'm thrilled to be able to update on my compy instead of a cell phone. So check dees out:
Did these on full cover nails in December. It was great. I was thinking about Cinderella and Disney Princesses at the time!
These were my new years' blinggity bling. I really liked doing these and finally got some silver crackle and paired it on top of white for a bright foil texture, and added 3 kinds of glitter! They were sexy. Still are sexy! Even my new digital camera doesn't do em justice
So that's the start of the new year! Keep checking back

"Candy Canes"
Happy Holidays. Well they're coming quicker than ever. I'm not a huge fan of Christmas but I think Occupy Wall St has me in better spirits. And the NBA lockout is over! Not a bad season at all.
Anyways, I don't have much for a tutorial on this, but here's the gist of it:
Start by painting nails red or hot pink works, too. I painted on top of full cover fake nails from the drugstore. Just tape them to toothpicks or something to keep from touching them. Paint a very fine glitter on top, or something foil-y. You don't want it too glittery yet. Use a white nail art striper and go to town. Check a photo for the pattern. Then I added a fine silver glitter
striper on top of the white. Voila!
More holiday nails are coming, keep checking back!
